Simultaneously, it is as if the recipient experiences a form of death along with the failed words. Prophecies hurt when they are the deceit of the prophet’s heart and mind, even if the messenger did not realize it at the time, which meant the prophet did not have malicious intentions. However, the responsibility in the warning to test the spirit behind a prophecy first lies in the person who receives the revelation from the spiritual realm and conveys it to others (1 John 4:1)."

Every soldier of the Lord gets broken, but not beyond repair at and in the hands of the Potter. As I read this the second time, the Lord impressed something upon me: “The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!” ~ Lamentations 4:2 (KJV) In kintsugi, the repaired earthen vessel is laced with gold. Likewise, we must remain grounded (earthen, humble), while focusing on the Lord’s glory above. When we are born again, the Lord dwells in us as we become one, like the formerly earthen vessel held together with a very unlikely and a more precious substance, gold (John 6:56, 14:20).
Sadly, like Joseph’s brothers, some people have tried to kill the competition to improve their position. But, besides being sent to prison or a mental institution, they fail to remove the “competition” from the object of their desire’s heart.
